Who built this
PharmainformCalc is built and maintained by Sajjad Ahmad, a pharmaceutical manufacturing professional specializing in tablet coating and solid dosage production. It's a sister project to Pharmainform, an educational platform covering pharmaceutical manufacturing through articles, infographics, and video content.
Why this exists
Batch size scaling, tablet weight back-calculation, API overage and assay correction, coating material requirements, powder flow indices, and stage-wise batch reconciliation are calculations that formulation and production teams run constantly — often by hand, or rebuilt from scratch in a spreadsheet every time. PharmainformCalc turns the formulas already used in day-to-day pharmaceutical manufacturing into instant, reusable tools, so the arithmetic gets out of the way of the actual decision-making.
Every calculator on this site reflects formulas and reasoning used in real batch manufacturing records — not generic textbook approximations.
What's here
- Batch Size, Tablet Weight, Coating Material, and API Requirement calculators for formulation planning
- Bulk & Tapped Density for powder flow assessment
- Percentage Yield and a Unit Converter for everyday process checks
- Stage-wise reconciliation calculators for granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation
A note on how to use these tools
PharmainformCalc is built for reference and educational purposes. It's meant to speed up calculations you already understand, not to replace your organization's validated SOPs, batch manufacturing records, or professional judgment. Always verify results against your site's own validated procedures before using them in a production decision.
